Great play from Sweden in the pouring rain in the southern Norway town of Sandefjord. Strong defense, good movement on the outsides and a varied attacking play was things to be happy about for national team coach Thomas Dennerby: "We played a great match and were clearly better than Norway. I think we have taken a big step forward."
Lotta Schelin showed that she is getting back into form after her injury-ridden spring season. Her goal was a great performance as she recieved the ball from Victoria Svensson and simply out-run her Norwegian marker and scored with a hard, low shot in the far corner of the goal. The main thing missing in the match was more like this. With more efficiency in front of goal, the score could have been much higher.
