Djurgården had announced this as a revenge match after their embarrasing away loss to the newcomers in the Damallsvenskan opener in April. It couldn't have started worse, Susanne Moberg scoring on a free-kick that was redirected by a Djurgården's wall. But that was just about all Kristianstad managed to create forward. Djurgården promptly equalised and took the lead within 15 minutes and continued to dominate the rst of the match. They really should have scored more, but Kristianstad's defense, anchored by Dieke and McNeill, had another good day. Kristianstad's claim that this was their best away match so far says more about their away record than the match.
