Los Angeles offers contract to Johanna Frisk

"I have received an offer [from the WPS club Los Angeles Sol], but I don't want to say more than that", says Umeå defender Johanna Frisk to a local newspaper. Marta revealed earlier this week, that she in her negotiations with Los Angeles has asked if they could make an offer to her friend Johanna too.
Johanna Frisk says she wants to think it over, but "it doesn't have to take too much time". She adds that she wants to focus on Umeå's three remaining matches this season, the Swedish Cup final on Saturday and the UEFA Women's Cup quarter finals against Arsenal November 6 and 12, before making any decisions.
Both Johanna and Marta have received contract offers from Umeå as well as Los Angeles. The club has set a deadline for this weekend. Club manager Britta Åkerlund has been pessimistic about the possibilities to keep Marta in the club and that goes for Johanna too.

Former Malmö goalkeeper Caroline Jönsson, who is training with Umeå, says she is interested in the option of playing in the American league and is now looking into what Chicago Red Stars has to offer.

I have never heard of Frisk. Is she that good that LA would want her?

Johanna is a 22 years old centre back, has been in Umeå for three seasons, injured last season (ACL), but a starter this year. 10 caps for the U21. Played for Bälinge before she joined Umeå. Reliable defender with international experience. I don't think LA would have spent one of their 5 international spots on her if they had the choice, but she ought to be about as good as any college senior they can pick up in the January draft.
