Midfielder Jessica Julin, also on the finnish national team, has had problems getting a spot om Umeå's team after the club signed Finland's 2004 Player of the Year Anne Mäkinen and brasilian international Elaine. She tells her hometown paper Jakobstads Tidning that she has already decided she will not play for the club 2006, but might leave, possibly on loan, already this summer.

Sweden's national team defender Karolina Westberg left Malmö FF for Umeå IK this winter, but have since lost her starting position with both club and country. She tells Malmö local daily Sydsvenskan that she will return to Malmö FF, but avoids questions on when that will happen. The newspaper's guess is that it will be already this summer.

Does anyone think it is possible that Westberg (and Larsson) also did not get along with the MFF coach and Westberg is now returning since he will be gone?
Possibly, or Westberg is just fed up with not getting any nearer the starting 11. She probably thinks going back will give her the chance to start every game again. I don't think so, though. The new Malmö back line is really strong, and if she goes back, she might not make the MFF starting 11 either.
I haven't heard anything to suggest that Westberg had any problems with coach Johansson. Usually there isn't anything more to things like this than what meets the eye - Westberg wanted a change after 10 years in the same club.
What I've heard is that Malmö FF's problems last year was spelled Kackur and her leaving was beneficial for both her and the club. But that too is probably a little bit more mean than true.
That is sad news for Westberg. But if she returns, maybe Andersson will move to midfield. I still don't think it can be a coincidence that Westberg, Larsson, Kackur and Lindahl all left.
Well, Hedvig Lindahl didn't get any time at all with Caroline Jönsson on the team, and she probably liked it when she went on loan to Stattena (or was it IF Trion?) for half a season and played every match. Then clubs started making offers... I think she just wanted to play in order to make it to the National Team.
Westberg hasn't any problems with Anders Johansson, he was one of the reason she might stay. Westberg liked him as a coach, the same as Larsson did.
