Goalkeeper problems for Umeå IK
Umeå's goalkeeper Sofia Lundgren doesn't think she'll be picked for the European Championship squad and has decided to use the break in Damallsvenskan to have knee surgery. She should be able to play after a couple of weeks in rehab, but if she doesn't Umeå only has one goalkeeper on the squad. The club has persuaded former national team keeper and WUSA professional Ulrika Karlsson to come out of retirement if need should be.
