In more than 20 matches between the clubs Malmö has only lost one. This time was no exception to the rule. Malmö opened strong already from start and should have decided the match in the first half. Now it became unnecessary exciting when Heidi Kackur reduced just befiore the half time break. Coach Anders Johansson was satisfied with Denise Reddy and Therese Jönssonin in the centre defense. "It's really important to keep players like Kackur and Lotta Schelin away from goal and they succeeded with that."

"We were playing deep in defense, knowing the attacking resources Örebro has", Själevad coach Yngve Persson explained. And it almost worked out. KIF Örebro clinched their victory with a Marie Hammarström goal following a corner kick. Örebro had, unlike Själevad, a couple of other hot chances that didn't materialise.
