Six Damallsvenskan players in Finland's Euro squad

Finland's national team coach Mikael Käld announced his squad for the European Championships with no less than six Damallsvenskan players: Sanna Valkonen, Umeå IK, Jessica Julin, Umeå IK, Anne Mäkinen, Umeå IK, Anna-Kaisa Rantanen, Linköpings FC, Laura Kalmari, Djurgården/Älvsjö and Heidi Kackur, Kopparbergs/Göteborgs FC.

In an interview with Finland's leading swedish language daily Hufvudstadsbladet Laura Kalmari is very pleased with Finland's 2-0 win over Scotland and wit her own two goals. "It feels really good to score again. It's been a tough spring with both the club (Djurgården/Älvsjö) and the national team."

Finland's midfielder Jessica Juhlin has spent most of the time this spring with Umeå IK on the bench . In her monthly column at Finland's swedish language TV network she writes about her frustration but also about looking forward to the European Championships.
