Örebro played 1st division side Falköping already at Wednesday last week. Örebro dominated, but Falköping fought hard and managed to stand up against Örebro's experimental 4-5-1, that didn't work out at all in the offensive third of the field.

The attack seemed to work out better for KIF Örebro this time, and head coach Pia Sundhage was especially pleased with the team work in the first half. Malmö FF went to Denmark to play the Danish league's third place team, Skovlunde. The match was considered a step in the right direction, compared to the disappointing performance against Kolbotn last week. Parts of the match worked really good, but there is still a lot of work to do to get the new team to gel. Dora Stefansdottir made her first appearence for the club, having arrived from Iceland just a few days before.

1st division side Bollstanäs (one of the local teams with cooperation agreements with Djurgården/Älvsjö) got very little time on Djurgården/Älvsjö's part of the field, even if Djurgården slowed down after half time. The home side could field a team of almost all starters, only Linda Fagerström (rehab) and Bente Nordby (in Spain with the Norwegian national team) were missing.

QBIK's coach had planned this as an exercise in variation between short and long balls when building attacks and it worked ok in the early part of the match. After that it was mostly technical mistakes and misdirected passes.

The announced meeting between Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC and Falköpings KIK was cancelled since the proposed pitch was covered in snow. It has been a pretty snowy winter in Göteborg and Kopparbergs/Göteborg has several times before found reson to complain over the local council's inability to keep the football fields free from snow.
dandal, can you translate the news on damfotboll.com that Malin Andersson has been made assistant coach for under 21s? Is that a fulltime position... I thought you (or someone) had said she quit MFF because of a job promotion at the road administration. (??)
Look at bit further up for the news about Malin. Traditionally this is not a full time position - you mostly work when the U21's are at camp or playing - so it should mean considerably less time away from work for Malin than it has been for the last 10 years.
She did say that she wanted to committ herself to her professional career when she retired last year, but I think the main reason was that she just thought it was time to go.
