don't you (or anyone else) think it's a bit odd that andersson quit with so little fanfare? she is a pretty high-ranking *national* player of a certain importance, it seems to me.
yet there were not any formal news interviews (OK, except for a 10 second SR spot). and did the national coach even comment?
I understand that if she decided after the MFF season was over, they could not have a ceremony/honors, for example... but this just seems weird. i think it should have been bigger news, and that she would have more to say.
do you think she did it this way on purpose to make a faster and easier exit? and was there any other explanation for the timing of her decision?
I've thought about this too. We're not really that big on sending-offs in Sweden. Old players usually just fade away. But the impression I have of Malin is that she is a fairly private person and might not have agreed with a big event and I think she thought over her timing. What strikes me most is that Malmö FF's website still hasn't published anything.
