New assistant coach to Umeå IK

Umeå IK has signed former Allsvenskan player and local celebrity Steve Galloway as assistant coach with responsibilities including match analysis and coaching forwards. Galloway successfully coached the men's side Umeå FC last year, gaining promotion to the second highest level. In spite of that he was replaced by former Umeå IK head coach Richard Holmlund. With the addition of Galloway, Umeå IK now has a five person strong coaching staff.
