Swedish Cup: Cup final to be played in Umeå
Since Umeå IK's UEFA Cup schedule made it neccesary to move the Swedish Cup final from the planned Råsunda double-header with the men's Swedish Cup final, it has now been decided, by the drawing of lots, that the final will be played in Umeå. Linköping, that has never played a cup final before, are disappointed that they will not be able to play a proper Cup fional at Råsunda. "It couldn't have come as a surpsise that Umeå reached the cup final", says Linköping chairman Christer Mård, who is very critical to the lack of proper planning from the Swedish Football Association.
