-"A great match and a fantastic crowd", commented Marta after the exhibition match between her club Umeå and her national team Brazil on Thursday night and manager Roland Arnqvist called it "one of the best games we've ever been part of". Coach Jeglertz was particulary pleased with how well the team played in the second half. After handing over Marta and Elaine to the Brazil team at half-time and Hanna Ljungberg resting after 45 minutes that should have pleased national team coach Thomas Dennerby, it was much up to Umeå's youngsters. "Impressive play with a very young team", said Jeglertz.
Umeå's Spanish trialist Laura del Rio Garcia scored Umeå's goal, set up by June Pedersen. This might still not be enough to secure her a contract, if I read the signs right.
