Sweden tied England in the last Nordic Cup match 1-1 (goal by Bälinge's Linda Sembrandt). Since it was a placement match it had to be decided by a penalty shoot-out, which England won and Sweden's U23 finished 6tyh and last in this year's Nordic Cup. Norway played for third place, defeating Finbland 3-0. Umeå's June Pedersen subbed in after 74 minutes.

Brazil with Umeå's Marta and Elaine had much more problems against Mexico than when they defeated Canada in the previous match, but finally managed a 2-0 win. Brazil will now play USA's U20 in the Pan Am games final.
