Ma was hyped as "the new Marta" when she arrived. It takes a lot to live up to that. But she scored 5 goals, starting in 9 league matches. Plus a bunch of goals in the Cup matches. Not exactly bad. Umeå's management talks about their failure, not hers. I'll elaborate a bit on that in an upcoming post.

i will admit it.
i was the hater of the 1st and 3rd post.
i felt like there was so much 'excitement' about the fact that she was coming.
i thought she was going to be fantastic and do great things for umeå.
i just get the feeling that she was very uninterested.
there are so many other good players that don't get that much hype around them that actually should...i found the whole situation irritating.
maybe she is great...she will have a chance to show herself in september...we will have to see.
