A really close first half, with an equal distribution of scoring chances, was followed by an increasing Linköping dominance in the second, which finally resulted in Jessica Landström's late winner. She recieved Daniela's ball from the left, controlled it and placed it out of reach for the otherwise impressing Sofia Lundgren in AIK's goal.
Linköping had to show up without their inner defenders Sara Larsson and Lotta Rohlin, both on the sick-list, but Finnish international midfielder Anna-Kaisa Rantanen, who has had problems breaking in to the starting eleven this season, convinced as defender.
The result means that Linköping stays five points ahead of Umeå, both having played 11 of the 22 season matches. Umeå now cannot win the league on their own, but must rely on other teams taking points from Linköping.
